Peningkatan signifikan pada Global Mapper v16.1 ini adalah video playbak tool dimana user bisa memutar kembali video yang direkam menggunakan UAV. Video yang ditampilkan tersinkronisasi dengan fitur garis berbasis waktu terbang.

- Updated the Control Center CALC ATTR dialog (Attribute Calculation Setup) with the ability to calculate new attribute values using spreadsheet-like formulas.
- Improved exports using image-optimized palettes for data with more than 256 colors but large areas with the same color.
